What is Esperanza?esperanza-logo

A non-profit 501 (c)(3) community based organization that provides experiential learning services as well as mental health interventions and treatment for youth and their families.

Esperanza Center’s Mission

Our mission is to provide alternative education and therapeutic experiences that are inspired by the natural world and guided by the values learned from horse-human interactions.

Esperanza Center’s Vision

A world in which the relationships between humans, animals, and the natural environment are fostered for the betterment of all.

Fall Programing

We just completed our summer programming and a satisfied parent commented:

  • Equine Facilitated Learning Groups: Our EFL services include horsemanship education as a metaphor to teach life skills, communication skills, team work, leadership, and self direction, and to foster self esteem, self confidence, and self awareness. Students engage in horse activities and other farm oriented activities (chickens, horticulture, chores, woodworking, etc.) within a group setting.
  • On-going weekly therapeutic services which include equine assisted activities, art, and other experiential interventions.
  • After school program that includes tutoring and experiential activities
